What the cannon level sets

The level sets one number, the stake for the next shot: at an example level of PHP 2, each shot costs PHP 2. It does not change how the targets move, and it does not change a target’s own multiplier. It changes the amount that multiplier is applied to.

Cannon level and cost per shot

These sums are examples with round numbers, not stakes published by any studio. Each row assumes a PHP 200 session total.

Two things move together as the level rises. The payout on a hit grows with the stake, and the number of shots your total can fund shrinks by the same factor. The multiplier on the target never changes in the table, which is the point.

How to pick a level for a session

Follow these steps before you fire, and keep to them while you play.

1. Decide the total you are willing to spend, using the habits in the bankroll management meaning entry.
2. Choose how many shots you want the session to last.
3. Divide the total by the shots to get the cost per shot.
4. Set the cannon level nearest to that cost, rounding down.
5. Stop when the shots are spent, whatever the screen is showing.

If the game offers no level at your target cost, take the next level down, never up. A lower level is the only one that keeps your plan intact.

A level change mid-session, worked through

Example: you start PHP 200 at PHP 2 per shot, which is 100 shots. After 30 shots you have spent PHP 60 and hold PHP 140. Raise the level to PHP 5 and those PHP 140 buy 28 more shots, so the session ends at 58 shots in total, not 100.

Lower the level to PHP 1 instead and the same PHP 140 buys 140 more shots, for 170 in all. The sum is the same each time: what is left, divided by the new cost per shot.

Special weapons and tools
